Associate Fellow At CLAWS: December 2018 Contact at: [email protected] About the Researcher :Manjari Singh is an Associate Fellow at Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS). She has submitted her Ph.D. thesis on “Sustainable Development in Jordan: A Study of Social, Economic and Environmental Dimensions” to Centre for West Asian Studies in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She also visited Jordan regarding her fieldwork. She is a Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF) Fellow and is specialising in sustainable development and the Middle East. Her research papers have appeared in International Journals such as Contemporary Review of the Middle East, Mediterranean Quarterly and Migration and Development. She has co-authored a book titled Persian Gulf 2018: India’s Relations with the Region (Singapore: Palgrave Macmillan) and has co-edited another book titled Islamic Movements in the Middle East: Ideologies, Practices and Political Participation (New Delhi: Knowledge World). She also serves as Assistant Editor of Contemporary Review of the Middle East (New Delhi: Sage). Apart from these, she has contributed chapters in several books on the region, has written commentaries and book reviews pertaining to West Asian region and has presented several papers in international and national conferences. Her research interests are sustainable development, Middle East, Persian Gulf, Non-traditional securities and India’s Relation with the Middle East. |
